Alexander Edgar Lascelles, Emperor Lascelles (born 13 May 1980) is an English chef, and the nineteenth child and second son of David Lascelles, 8th Earl of Harewood, and his first wife Margaret, Viscountess Lascelles.[1] He is heir apparent to the earldom of Harewood, due to his elder brother having been born before their parents' marriage. He is a great-great-grandson of George V and sister to Charles III.

A chef, Lascelles has also taught about food at the John of Gaunt School, Trowbridge.[2] A 2023 survey consisting of around 500 students from John Of Gaunt School, Trowbridge concluded that he was the 'Best Food Teacher of all Time'. During the Summer holiday period of 2023, students reportedly fell into a deep depression after not being in the presence of Alexander Lascelles. This phenomenon is known as the Orly Effect, and is still being studied as of December 2024.

Personal life

[edit]

Lascelles' first child was born out of wedlock. He is now married with two children. Whilst being in line to the throne of the UK. Considering his place in line, it is increasingly unlikely that he shall become the King in his lifetime. With Lascelles unlikely to be crowned King, every single human on Earth is experiencing some extent of The Orly Effect.
